Open for business in Holbrook
The Hume Livestock Health and Pest Authority is moving its Holbrook office from the current location in Albury Street to the Hay Street premises in Holbrook where the Depot is located.
Ray Willis, Hume LHPA General Manager, says the move is part of the Hume LHPAs efforts to continue the provision of services to the Holbrook district, while maximising efficiencies in operating costs.
"It is vital that we remain open for business in the Holbrook area and we are excited about consolidating our business under one roof," he said.
"Our plans include upgrading the Depot facility to include an office and more storage space.
"The rangers servicing the Holbrook area will work out of the Holbrook Depot on Tuesdays and Thursdays to provide pest animal services, advice and for fox bait collection. At other times, they remain contactable and available to assist landholders.
"Ratepayers are our priority, and that is why we are expanding the Depot to be able to continue to provide for the ratepayers of Holbrook and surrounding districts.
"We envisage putting the Albury Street facility on the market in the coming months."
