Grafton ratepayers to benefit from office relocation

26 Oct 2011

The North Coast Livestock Health and Pest Authority is moving its Grafton office from the current location on Victoria Street to a new purpose built office co-located with the depot in South Grafton.

Brian McInnes, North Coast LHPA general manager, says the new office is scheduled to be operational by start of business on Monday 7 November and will be beneficial for local ratepayers as all services will now be available at one site.

"The new office will be located at the current depot location, 24-26 Mulgi Drive, South Grafton, which means ratepayers will now have the convenience of a 'one stop shop'," said Mr McInnes.

"An added benefit is the availability of ample free parking, which was metered and restricted in the CBD.

"Services will continue at the current office on Victoria Street up until close of business on Friday 28 October to allow equipment to be relocated to the new office.

"In the interim, the district vet and rangers based out of the Grafton office will continue to be contactable on mobile phones.

"The Grafton office phone will be diverted to the Lismore or Casino offices, where staff will be able to assist with inquiries.

"Importantly the move will not result in a change to service, staff or opening hours. The new office will retain the existing Grafton office phone and fax numbers."

For all North Coast LHPA contact details refer to the LHPA website http://www.lhpa.org.au/districts/northcoast.

A formal opening of the new office is planned for 29 November, with further details to be announced.
